Statement
My
name is XXX Huang, a fifteen-year-old Shanghai teenage boy. I have recently
graduated from Jianping West Middle School, one of the most prestigious middle
schools in Shanghai.
I
know you must be curious about my personalities. If you ask me to use three
words to describe myself, I will reply you without hesitation: extremely organized,
ambitious and precise. Born in a CEO family, I grew up with the dream of
becoming one of the top actuaries in the world. Living under the influence of
my gifted CEO dad, I have to admit that the saying” Like father, like son”
cannot be more accurate to describe my personality. I am particularly organized
with my money. All the “pocket money” I got during the Chinese New Year is
carefully saved in my “personal bank”, my parents. I have made specific plan
for every single cent of my allowance. Some of them are for individual investments,
parts of them are for private use, and the rest of them are saved for the
future. I also work hard to balance my withdrawal by enlarging my savings. Following
the examples of the American teenagers, I work part time for my father and my
neighbors. For sure, all my salary is contributed to my checking account. My
parents sometimes even joke that I should open my own bank and edit my personal
“Wall Street Journal” to share my view on finance and marketing with the world
elites. That’s why my family never questioned my decision of studying abroad in
the States, for they know that I will not miss any opportunity to reach my
final destination: The Wall Street.
I
may sound like a little grown-up, but I still live a normal teenage-boy life. I
was very active in my middle school. Because of my careful and organized characteristics,
my teacher never hesitated to allow me to hold any after-class activities.
Besides that, my Middle School Badminton Team has always been where my heart
belongs. As the anchor of my team, badminton has always been my best buddy. From
weekly practice to annually tournaments, I earn the title of “panther” due to my
speed and strength. Who knows that one day I may start my own Badminton Club at
my U.S. high school or join another sports team to challenge myself!
This summer, I visited three high schools in the States with my parents. It is pretty obvious that Bishop Alemany High School has won our heart. I was quite amazed with the modern and advanced facilities that Alemany provides. In addition, the one-to-one iPad Program is really fascinating. Professional studying environment can lead to excellent learning which can help me to excel in my future career. All in all, our visit has definitely helped me to firm my decision, Alemany is the one!
