康奈尔大学2017届反应了学生增长的多样性

Class of 2017 reflects increases in diversity

As Cornell approaches its sesquicentennial in 2015, the incoming Class of 2017 reflects the variety of students envisioned by founder Ezra Cornell’s ideal of “any person … any study” as well as continuing university wide efforts to foster diversity.

The 3,282 freshmen coming to campus hail from 48 states (excepting Arkansas and Wyoming), the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico; and from 51 countries. Last year, 3,270 freshmen came from 47 states and 46 countries.

The total enrollment in the freshman class this fall is the third-highest ever, after 2011 (3,356) and 1993 (3,286).

邓肯大学大四学生Mijin Han入选为全国女性企业委员会学生创业项目

Senior Mijin Han selected for Women’s Business Enterprise National Council Student Entrepreneur Program

Duncan College senior Mijin Han, an English literature major, is one of 22 students from 14 universities selected by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) to participate in the 2015 student entrepreneur cohort for the prestigious WBENC Student Entrepreneur Program (SEP).

WBENC fosters growth for the next generation of women-owned businesses through tailored curriculum and mentoring by certified women business owners and Fortune 500 corporate members. In addition to one-on-one mentoring, students will participate in a live pitch competition set at WBENC’s National Conference and Business Fair in Austin, Texas, from June 23 to 25 and will visit corporate campuses and accelerators.

邓肯大学学生Mijin Han是一位英国文学专业的22岁大四学生，她是来自14个大学中被全国女性企业委员会（WBENC）选中参加2015的学生创业群体。

WBENC通过有资格女性企业家和世界500强成员定制的课程和指导来培养下一代女性企业家。除了一对一的指导以外，学生们将从6/23-6/25现场参加奥斯丁举办的WBENC国家会议和商业公平竞争以及访问参观企业校园。

圣母大学在IT行业最佳工作调查中排名第九

Notre Dame ranks 9th in survey of best places to work in IT

Recognized for the third year in a row, the University of Notre Dame ranks ninth among large organizations in IDG’s Computerworld 2015 Best Places to Work in IT. The 22nd annual survey ranks organizations that provide challenging work for information technology employees while providing great benefits and compensation. Notre Dame is featured, along with other recognized organizations, in the June 22nd digital edition of Computerworld.

圣母大学连续3年在IDG的计算机世界“2015IT行业最佳工作”的大型机构中排名第九。在第22次年度调查排名那些为信息技术的员工提供具有挑战性的工作同时提供极大的利益和报酬的组织。在6/22日计算机世界发表的文章中表明圣母大学在与其他被认可的组织中是具有特色的。
