伦敦大学国王学院的数学学院正式开放

King's Maths School opens

King’s College London Mathematics School has opened its doors to a first cohort of 68 students. The specialist school is the first of its kind: a state-funded school for mathematicians aged 16-19, selected for their enthusiasm for, as well as their attainment in, Mathematics.

The school is now open applicants for September 2015 intake and is launching this year’s King’s-Exeter Mathematics Competition, in which teams of students are invited to make a 5 minute video in which they construct one of the Platonic or Archimedean solids.

伦敦大学国王学院的数学学院已经为第一批68位学生敞开了大门。这是第一所这种形式的专业院校：  年纪16-19岁的数学家们的公立院校，专门挑选那些对数学热忱并且在数学方面特别突出的学生。该学校现在开放申请2015年9月入学。

New School begins recruiting scientists and engineers of the future

Tomorrow’s scientists and engineers can now apply for places at the Devon’s newest school, the South Devon University Technical College in Engineering, Water and the Environment, which opens its doors to the first intake of students this time next year.

未来的科学家和工程师们现在可以申请德文郡最新的学校，南德文郡技术大学关于工程，水利和环境专业， 该学校将于明年这个时候第一次开学。

Glasgow shortlisted for ‘University of the Year’ award

The University of Glasgow has been shortlisted for the Times Higher Education University of the Year award and in three other categories.

The University is in contention for Outstanding Support for Early Career Researchers, International Collaboration of the Year, Outstanding Contribution to Innovation and Technology.

格拉斯哥大学已经入围泰晤士高等教育大学奖和其它三个类别，分别是支持早期职业研究员的杰出贡献，国际间的合作，以及创新技术的突出贡献。
