教育大臣在圣安德鲁斯大学启用世界领先的物理实验室

World-leading physics laboratories opened by education secretary

Education Secretary Angela Constance today (Thursday 21 May) officially opened a £3.7m physics facility that will put the University of St Andrews at the forefront of research into superconductors and light-emitting materials.

The facility consists of an ultra-low vibration (ULV) laboratory, and a new cleanroom and nanofabrication facility. 

5月21日教育大臣Angela Contance正式启用价值3千7百万英镑的物理设备，这将把圣安德鲁斯大学推向超导体和发光材料研究的前沿。

该装置是由一个超低振动（ULV）实验室，一个新的洁净室和纳米加工设备组成。

Dr Jun Zang hosts 30th International Workshop on Water Waves and Floating Bodies

The 30th International Workshop on Water Waves and Floating Bodies (IWWWFB) was recently held at the M-Shed in Bristol. The workshop was organised by Dr Jun Zang, Director of the WEIR Research Unit and Dr Richard Porter, Senior Lecturer in the School of Mathematics at the University of Bristol.

University of Exeter placed 6 in UK, 8 in Europe and 34 globally in latest influential rankings

The CWTS Leiden Ranking 2015, published today, has placed the University of Exeter sixth in the UK, eighth in Europe and top 40 in the world. The University also rose 24 places since 2014 in the overall rankings.

今天发表的2015CWTS莱顿排名中，埃克塞特大学在全英排名第6，欧洲排名8以及世界排名40. 该大学从2014开始在总的排名总上升了28名。.
