University of Nottingham honours brightest international students

More than 400 students have been awarded competitive international scholarships to study at The University of Nottingham for the 2014/15 academic year. 

The scholarships were awarded at a special ceremony held at the University’s iconic Trent Building and hosted by Professor Michèle Clarke, Assistant Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International -Asia) and Professor Farouk Shakib, Assistant Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International - Africa and the Middle East).

The students hail from over 104 countries across all continents.

For the first time, undergraduate students will be able to study a degree in global cinema in the heart of London, thanks to an innovative new course offered by Birkbeck, University of London and SOAS, University of London. The two prestigious London institutions are bringing their expertise together to offer a programme of study that is truly global in its approach.

School of Chemistry doubles intake in 5 years

Cardiff University’s School of Chemistry has doubled its student intake in five years.

The school welcomed 82 undergraduates back in 2010. This year, the doors opened to 179.

A proactive outreach strategy, improved undergraduate programme, better student feedback and internationally recognised research excellence are credited for the turnaround.
