《金融时报》排名布兰迪斯国际商学院的MA课程连续5年全美TOP10

Financial Times ranks MA program at Brandeis International Business School (IBS) among top 10 in the U.S. for 5th year in a row

For the fifth year in a row, the Financial Times (FT) has ranked the Brandeis IBS MA in International Economics and Finance among the top 10 pre-experience programs in the United States.
The school’s MA program provides students with a unique combination of skills in both economics and finance. For the second year in a row, the school was noted for accomplishments in the areas of “Aims Achieved” – the extent to which alumni feel fulfilled by their goals in obtaining the degree – and in “International Course Experience” – a measure of international exposure in the program’s curriculum. Also noteworthy was the reflection of a strong female presence at Brandeis IBS in this year’s rankings: Women make up 50% of the student body and 40% of its faculty.

Shaping the core

Eighteen faculty have paired up for a fresh approach to the common curriculum

This coming fall Boston College will begin piloting a renewed core curriculum, unveiling nine semester-long offerings for freshmen that apply an interdisciplinary lens to contemporary social problems and perennial questions about the human condition. Three are courses that will utilize team teaching, with faculty from divergent disciplines working side by side—a sociologist and an ecologist, for instance, teaching “Global Implications of Climate Change.”

Ruthie Ann Miles (Steinhard, '07) wins first Tony Award for her role in The King and I.

Ruthie Ann Miles, a 2007 graduate of the vocal performance program at the NYU Steinhardt School and Barbara Whitman, a 1988 graduate of the NYU Gallatin School, were honored with Tony Awards last night at the 69th Tony Awards Ceremony, held at Radio City Music Hall.

Miles received her first Tony Award in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical for her portrayal of Madam Thiang in The King and I. Whitman received her third Tony Award as producer of Fun Home, which won for Best Musical. Prior wins for Whitman included Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which took home last year’s Tony for Best Musical Revival, and Red, which won Best Play in 2010.

纽约大学斯坦哈特学院2007届声乐表演的毕业生Ruthie Ann Miles以及纽约大学加勒廷学校1988的毕业生Barbara Whitman在无线电城音乐厅举办的第69届托尼颁奖典礼荣获托尼奖。
